Exporting coffee to Germany

Germany is Europe’s largest coffee market. There are many opportunities in the market, for regular blends, certified and speciality coffee. However, Germany also has a large discount market. The economy is slowing down, so low-cost coffee options are gaining ground. Germany is part of the EU, so all green coffee must meet strict hygiene standards. Importers and roasters also need to show that their coffee does not come from recently deforested land.
