Meet CBI companies at Fruit Logistica 2026

From 2 to 6 February 2026, CBI’s Ethiopia Fresh Fruit & Vegetables project will lead a trade mission to Berlin with the Ethiopian Horticulture Producers and Exporters Association (EHPEA), focusing on shifting from air freight to sea freight in partneship with Ethiopian authorities and SMEs. 

On 2 and 3 February, participating companies will join sessions on European business culture,  explore high-end supermarkets and review European Union (EU) import regulations.

From 4-6 February, 4 SME’s from the Ethiopia FFV programme will exhibit at the Fruit Logistica, Messe Berlin. You can find us in Hall 26, stand D-71

Study Tours

Kenya WEE

From 2 to 6 February 2026, the CBI Women’s Economic Empowerment Kenya project (WEE) ), with Fresh Produce Consortium of Kenya (FPCK) and Horticultural Crops Development Authority (HCD), will host an EU study tour at Fruit Logistica, focusing on tools and strategies for women’s export participation.

This initiative is part of the Access to Markets Programme. It serves as a capstone project aimed at empowering Trade Support Institutions to deliver gender-responsive trade and export support. The tour will enhance the participation and competitiveness of women exporters in international markets.

You can expect a comprehensive learning and market-linkage journey, featuring:

  • Pre-mission learning sessions to align participants with the EU market and buyer expectations;
  • On-site learning and curated networking at Fruit Logistica;
  • Targeted buyer and stakeholder linkages tailored to export profiles;
  • Post-mission follow-up to turn insights into actionable market-entry strategies.

Kenya FFV 

From 2 to 6 February 2026, the CBI Kenya Fresh Fruits and Vegetables (FFV) project will organise an EU Study Tour at Fruit Logistica in Berlin for representatives of business support organisations, emphasising EU FFV market trends, competition, and requirements.

This trip provides inspiration for developing of a promotional strategy for Kenyan FFV exports and designing relevant export support services for SMEs.  

We will focus specifically on the requirements and opportunities for positioning Kenyan FFV products on the world stage via sea freight.

During the study tour, we will organise daily breakfast sessions for the Kenyan and Ethiopian participants, highlighting key sector topics each morning:

  • Transition from air freight to sea freight;
  • Product branding; and
  • Creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for avocado export.
