In Memoriam – Miriam Geelhoed

It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of Miriam Geelhoed, who died unexpectedly after a brief illness. We will miss her greatly.

Miriam was a valued expert and partner to CBI, contributing her knowledge and experience to several projects in the textile and apparel sector. Through her work with Modint, she brought particular expertise in corporate responsibility, sustainability and responsible business practices, always connecting international developments with the everyday realities of businesses.

Across the CBI programmes she supported, Miriam shared her knowledge generously, asked thoughtful questions and brought different perspectives together. She believed strongly in the power of collaboration and made a valuable contribution to strengthening connections between companies, organisations and stakeholders across the textile and apparel value chain.
Those who worked with Miriam will remember not only her expertise, but also her warmth, openness and genuine interest in others. She brought calm and perspective to conversations and had a remarkable ability to make people feel heard and valued.

We are deeply grateful for everything Miriam contributed to CBI, our colleagues and partners, and the wider textile and apparel sector. Her knowledge, commitment, and the connections she created will continue to have a lasting impact.
