Exporting cashew nuts to Europe

Demand for cashew nuts in Europe is driven by the popularity of healthy snacking, pleasant taste and the use of nuts as substitutes for animal proteins. New suppliers from developing countries can find opportunities in large markets such as the Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain and Italy. Emerging cashew nuts suppliers can gain a competitive advantage by investing in processing (shelling) facilities, offering safe, sustainable and high-quality products with stable prices. New suppliers must be able to compete with offers from Vietnam, India and Brazil or by offering products with added value (such as organic or ethically certified cashew nuts).
