Exporting coasters to Europe

Coasters have developed from functional basics to valued table accessories. As a consequence, the product group has sub-segmented into a number of different positioning such as seasonal, outdoor, men and fun. Coasters form a relatively small product group in Home Decoration, so DC exporters are advised to develop them as an additional line of their tableware offer rather than as a specialisation. If you, as an exporter from a developing country, come from a particular material, e.g. bamboo, cork or stoneware, and you are already positioning for a particular consumer group (e.g. men), style (e.g. fun) or use (outdoors), then you can find a relevant positioning too in coasters.
