Estonia has a small market for fruit and vegetables, but production of fruit falls short of demand. Estonia therefore has to import fruit to meet the domestic demand. Be aware though that exotics and off-season products are increasingly imported from other EU countries - it may be wise to look at these supplying countries as well (mainly the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium).
This market survey covers the Estonian market for fresh fruit and vegetables.
You can find information on:
• consumption, production and trade (market size and trends )
• trade channels for market entry, including websites of buyers
• prices
• market access requirements
• business practices and sales promotion, including an overview of trade fairs
Special attention is paid to opportunities for exporters from developing countries.
More general information can be found in the related market survey on the EU.
