Norway legislation: Endangered species (CITES)

If you want to export wild flora, fauna, or products thereof to Norway, you should take into account the provisions laid down by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) in order to guarantee the entry of your products. CITES lays down provisions for the protection of endangered species of flora and fauna, and prohibits or restricts the trade of certain products containing material from endangered species.
Norway has implemented the CITES convention in a different way as the EU. This document provides general information on the convention, as well as information on the Norwegian implementation of requirements relating to endangered species and products derived thereof.
