International sustainability labels for aquaculture products

The many aquaculture labels that have been developed in recent years show the increasing importance of quality, health, safety and sustainability. The labels all have a different approach and focus on different aspects. This document describes the following labels and initiatives and explains their importance for producers in developing countries:
