EU legislation: Marketing authorisation for (natural) medicinal products

If you want to export medicinal products to the EU, your products have to be authorised before they may be marketed in the EU. The EU has established procedures for medicinal products and ingredients, in order to ensure that products marketed are safe and effective. This document describes the requirements for gaining marketing authorisation for medicinal products as well as the simplified procedures established for herbal and homeopathic medicinal products.
