EU legislation: Footwear labelling
|
If you export footwear to the EU, you have to make sure that your products comply with the labelling requirements established for footwear brought on the EU market. In principle, it is your EU importer that is bound to take care of the requirements, but he will demand from you that your products meet all requirements before he purchases your product. Moreover, he will expect you to provide him with the necessary documentation on which the labelling will be based. This document provides more information on the requirements as well as information how the labelling of footwear marketed in the EU works in practice.
