EU legislation: Dimethyl Fumarate (DMF) in consumer products

If you are an exporter of consumer products such as furniture, footwear and jeans, you need to take into account the EU’s legislation about the use of sachets contained in the packaging of products to prevent deterioration during storage or transport. The substance of these sachets is dimethylfumarate (DMF). Products containing DMF can pose health and safety risks to EU consumers.
