Environment: Physical-chemical industrial waste water treatment
|
The downloadable document describes the techniques of physical/chemical industrial waste water treatment. These processes are used to remove suspended matter that cannot be easily stabilised, for instance substances such as chromium and phenols. Examples of such processes include coagulation/flocculation, activated charcoal adsorption and chemical oxidation. Physical/chemical processes may precede biological treatment to enhance its effectiveness, may be used after biological treatment to meet specific discharge limits or can form the main treatment step.
