Environment: Overview of info on process measures

Market access requirements on environmental issues might lead to activities aiming to reduce the damage of production to the environment; i.e. environmentally sound production. These process related measures can be categorised in:
- source oriented measures (input)
- process integrated measures (process)
- end-of-pipe measures (output)

Environmental damage can be reduced or avoided through measures such as energy efficiency, reduction of the use of materials, control of pollution to air and ground and control of waste. Besides these measures there are also methods to map out stages of environmental pollution in your business (PROMISE) and guidelines on how the analyse effects (LCA).

See the related documents for the most important measures and methods used in many industries.
