Environment: Improvement options for flowers and plants
|
The downloadable document describes the cultivation of flowers and plants. The document starts with a short description of the flowers and plants sector, its environmental impacts and ESP in general. This is followed by a MET matrix which is a relatively simple method of listing environmental impacts that should be taken into account. Each process step is shortly described in order to have a starting point for the description of the environmental aspects which result from the process step. Also, some improvement options are provided for each process step. The intention of the improvement options is to give an idea what steps companies can take to make their products and production process environmentally more sound. The improvement options are not meant to give tailor-made solutions. For more information on related topics, please refer to the external links.
