Environment: Energy efficiency in industry

Energy reduction in industry can be achieved by analysing energy use after which existing techniques to reduce energy consumption like co-generation, heat recovery, and by better control of processes and machines can be introduced.

This downloadable document describes some important applications of energy management systems: co-generation and heat recovery. Furthermore, it describes how to improve the following machines and processes: motors and drives, burners, boilers, compressors, cooling, freezing and air-conditioning and lighting and fans.
