If you export automotive components and materials to the EU, you have to make sure your products comply with the EU legislation on End-of Live Vehicles (ELV). This legislation prohibits the presence of lead, mercury, cadmium and hexavalent chromium and obliges the materials and components to be coded in a certain way. However, there are some applications of components and materials that are exempted from the restriction.
