Personal Protective Equipment 2006 - 2013

This Export Coaching Programme for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) offers manufacturers of the below product categories from the selected countries excellent opportunities to get ready for exports to the EU market.

For selected participants, the programme will include intensive on-site and distant coaching by a CBI expert (e.g. in acquiring CE-marking etc.), participation in the CBI export marketing training and support in market entry to the EU by 3-times sponsored trade fair participation at the leading A+A trade fair in Düsseldorf (Germany) and business-to-business support.

Application for the programme is closed, except for companies from South-Africa and Colombia.

Products covered by the CBI programme (PPE, CE categories II and III):

Protective garments:
Heat-resistant clothing (e.g. Nomex, Kevlar, Aramide, Goretex, etc.), flame-retardant clothing, acid-resistant clothing, high-visibility clothing, body warmers, leather aprons, jackets (leather & fabrics), reflective vests, foul weather clothing, life vests, firemen's clothing, etc.

Foot and leg protection:
Safety footwear, knee protectors, leg protectors, groin protectors, instep protectors, ankle protectors, etc.

Hand protection:
Gloves: leather and mixtures of leather with cotton and other textiles (e.g. Nomex, Kevlar, Aramide, etc.); mittens: leather and mixtures of leather with cotton and other textiles, wrist strengtheners (leather), etc.

Arm protection:
Sleeve protectors of leather, cotton and other textiles (e.g. Nomex, Kevlar, etc.), elbow protectors, etc.

Head Protection:
Helmets, masks, head caps, goggles, ear protectors, etc.

Hearing Protection:
Ear plugs, muffs, etc.

Air Purification:
Respiratory filters, masks, half masks, etc.

Eye Protection:
Glasses (e.g. correctors of Polycarbonate), visors, goggles, etc.

Fall Protection:
Full body harnesses, safety belts, climb ropes, fall nets, etc.
