Call for proposals Export Value Chain Analysis for the Bolivian wine sector.
The Centre for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries (CBI) has decided to further research the possibilities for support in the wine sector in Bolivia. For some years, CBI has been conducting several successful export coaching programmes (ECP) and Business Support Organisation Development Programmes (BSOD) in Bolivia. Among others, CBI has been active in the Bolivian wine sector. This sector is being regarded as high potential and recent initiatives within this sector (strategic conference, trial introduction on an Amsterdam Wine Fair) lead to a positive sentiment towards opportunities for export development and the trickle-down effect of this sector in Bolivia. This is why CBI has chosen to take the next step in its programme design phase, by designing a Terms of Reference for a Value Chain Analysis (VCA) for the wine sector in Bolivia.
Deadline to send in the proposed Plan of Action: 25 May 2012, 15:00 hours.
Period of implementation: 1 June 2012 untill 31 August 2012.

Call for external sector experts for the production of the CBI Buyer's Black Box.
The Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries (CBI) is an agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands. CBI provides market intelligence studies and market access requirements documents for 23 sectors. Market intelligence at CBI goes beyond providing documents, it supports exporters and BSO staff to read and analyse intelligence and gives them considerations for actions.
The external sector expert will be responsible for the sector specific content of the CBI Buyer's Black Box. The external sector expert works together with an - by CBI assigned - copywriter to guarantee high quality of language and readability. This copywriter will translate the input from the expert in the actual MI product. Read more

The Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries (CBI) is an agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands. As part of its mission to contribute to sustainable economic development in developing countries through the expansion of exports from these countries, it coaches carefully selected companies in finding sustainable export opportunities in the European Union. (See: www.cbi.eu/ecp) In anticipation of a new CBI Agro-Food Export Development & Promotion Programme in Latin America (currently in its preparatory stage), CBI is seeking to broaden its pool of external experts on the European market for one or more of the following product categories:
This call for experts is in anticipation of a European Invitation to tender, which is expected to be held in 2012. The main task of External Sector Experts will be to coach Latin American companies in becoming successful exporters to European markets and/or in strengthening their market position in Europe. This may include: conducting supply and demand research, selection of participants, training, providing advice on product development, marketing, and European market entry, and the organization of Business-to-Business / match-making activities.
